Eleni Deli graduated from the Faculty of Early Childhood Education of Thessaloniki (1983) and the Pedagogical Faculty of Preschool Education of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) (1992). She holds an MSc of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science of AUTH with specialty in “School Physical Education” (2002). She also holds a certificate of I.E.L.T.S. in English and a European Computer Driving License (ECDL). She has published papers in Greek and international scientific journals. She was a member of the leader research team for the implementation of the European Transnational Co-operation Research Project“Early Steps: Promoting healthy lifestyle and social interaction through physical education activities during preschool years” (http://earlysteps.teithe.gr) which was funded from the European Commission for Socrates Programme, Comenius 2.1 Action (from 9/2005 to 6/2006 ) and in the Greek national “Intervention program for creative learning and acquisition of healthy habits during preschool years” of the Program “Archimedes: Supporting Research Teams inTechnological Educational Institutes” (Hellenic Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs). She has served as an early childhood educator at the 1st Day Care Center of Kalamaria.She has been serving as Director of the Early Childhood Care and Open Care for the elderly in the Municipality of Kalamaria, since 2011.
